I suppose at the moment it's more of an experimental capacity. But it's the kind of toxin meant for a weapon, for use in a fight. I didn't know if there was some...remedy, that could be use to cut the effects until a healer or more specific antidote were on hand.
Oh, alright. It will depend on the specific toxin, of course. There are antidotes to most of the common sort, your Deathroot Extract or Spider Venom, that sort of thing, but if it's something more unique--. Do you have a sample?
My worry is more for something in development. Suppose our enemy creates some new toxin. Would you be able to check it's progress with something even before we know what it was specifically made from?
Ah. Perhaps? If the symptoms were similar to any known compound I would be able to make a guess at what might work, and there are standard steps to take to attempt to purge various types of poisons. But I couldn't make any guarantees.
And we'd want to consult with a healer, too, of course. They would know better how to treat specific effects, if not how to neutralize the toxin itself.
[ considers talking about wysteria's poison mushrooms. hm. ]
I've been doing some reading on poisons. Never had much use for them myself, but I'd been wondering about the possibility. And if someone's using them in the field against us, if there was anything we could do to counteract that on the fly.
